Glee Episode Guide Preview – Season 2 – Episode – Audition
The Glee Club needs to recruit some new member but it’s not going to be easy after they didn’t do too well at regionals. The feud between Will and Sue heats up again. Finn and Rachel do not agree on the new recruits for the Glee Club.

The New Directions are attempting to gain new members to boost their performances during competition after losing the Regional competition. The group selects “Empire State of Mind” when they discover Nationals are to be held in New York and perform it in the courtyard of the school to attract new members. The performance intrigues Sam Evans, a transfer student, and Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student.
Sunshine and Rachel, co-captain of the club, sing a duet of Beyonce and Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” in the bathroom. Sunshine gets directed to a local crack house after Rachel becomes intimidated, hoping to ruin her chances at joining the New Directions. Will, the club director, reprimands Rachel when he finds out what she did and Sunshine makes a good impression with her audition landing a spot in the club.
Sam is encouraged to audition after Finn Hudson, the co-captain hears him singing a song by Poison. The members low social standing in the school cause Sam to turn Finn down. The budgets for both the cheerleaders and the glee club are reduced when McKinley High’s new football coach is Shannon Beiste. Sue and Will join forces in an effort to get rid of coach Beiste and have their budgets returned to normal. Santana is removed from the head cheerleader spot when Sue learns of her breast implants.
Will is interviewed about the New Directions and it goes rather badly, he then checks to find out how Quinn is doing since the baby was born. When it comes time to sign up for the various clubs at the high school, there are no students signing up for the Glee club.
Tina broke up with Artie for Mike and as a result he asks Finn for help to get on the football team. Finn is removed from the team when Beiste thinks he is plotting against her by making her have no choice but to deny a student that is wheelchair bound. The position as team quarterback is given to Sam. The director of the glee club gets the realization that his behavior is hurting the new coach when he attempts to have her allow Finn back on the team. Brittany makes a sexual harassment accusation against Beiste because of Sue, and Will defends her against it causing Sue to renew her vendetta against him.
Vocal Adrenaline’s new director, Dustin Goolsby is contacted by Sue after he refuels the rivalry between them. Sunshine and her mother can have permanent US residency if she agrees to join Vocal Adrenaline. Rachel’s hostile behavior drove her out of New Directions. Rachel eventual admits that she puts herself above other member of the group.
